Privacy at BriefDash
Public news pilot · Updated October 14, 2026
Saved on your device
Saved briefs and display preferences are stored in this browser. They do not sync between devices. Remove them with Clear saved data or your browser’s site-data controls.
When you contact us
We store the message and topic you submit, any optional email or story link, and a submission reference and date. We use these details to review your request and, if appropriate, contact you about it. They are not published, sold or added to a mailing list.
Hosting and protected access
Cloudflare provides hosting and database services. ChatGPT-hosted sign-in handles protected access. These providers may process account or technical information, such as IP addresses and device data, to operate and secure their services. Processing may occur outside Canada. Their privacy policies describe their practices.
Preventing abuse
For contact-form abuse prevention, we retain a daily salted fingerprint derived from a connection address or signed-in identifier, rather than the raw address. It expires after two days.
No advertising trackers
BriefDash does not add advertising or behavioural analytics trackers in this pilot. Hosting and sign-in services may use security and session technologies.
How long messages stay
Form submissions are scheduled for deletion from BriefDash’s active database after 90 days. Provider logs and backups follow their own retention schedules.
Your choices and requests
Use Contact → Privacy request to request access, a correction, deletion or withdrawal of consent for a message you sent. Include the submission reference or enough information to locate it. We may need to verify that the request concerns your information. Clearing browser data removes your local saved items; it does not delete messages submitted to the inbox.
