About BriefDash
Canadian news in brief, with a clear path to the source.
What we publish
BriefDash is an independently operated Canadian news briefing pilot. It publishes concise English and French summaries across Canada, Money, Local, Outdoors, Science, Entertainment and Sports, alongside a rolling Top Stories selection and Canadian city weather.
Publishing responsibility
Briefs are published under the BriefDash name. The site owner controls the publication and its private editor, can amend or remove content, and receives story tips, correction requests and sponsorship enquiries through Contact. This page does not claim a staffed newsroom or professional reporting credentials.
Automated briefs, clearly identified
Research, bilingual summaries and scheduled publication use AI assistance and automation. The daily task starts at 7 a.m. Toronto time; Top Stories source checks are scheduled every two hours. Publication does not require a separate human approval. Readers should not assume every brief has been reviewed by a journalist.
Sources and accountability
Every brief links to its source and distinguishes the source date from its BriefDash publication time. Official statements and public social posts are attributed to their authors. Linking to a statement is not independent confirmation of all its claims. The Editorial Policy explains selection, updates and corrections.
Funding and advertising
The site accepts private sponsorship enquiries. Any paid placement or affiliate relationship will be clearly labelled. Sending an enquiry does not buy news coverage. Audience estimates cover consenting browsers only and are not claims about total readership.
Contact the publication
Use Contact for feedback, a story tip, an ownership question or a content-rights concern. Use Corrections to identify an inaccurate brief and provide supporting evidence. These messages go to the owner’s private inbox.
