Alberta votes on ten referendum questions; results follow poll closure
Published by BriefDash · · Toronto
Elections Alberta says most referendum voting locations opened on October 19, with regular closing set for 8 p.m. and later closures possible at delayed locations. Unofficial results will be released only after all polls close. Question 10 is scheduled to be counted before the other nine questions.
Why it matters
The non-binding Question 10 asks whether Alberta should remain in Canada or begin a process toward a later independence referendum.
